My Grand-Daughter

I thought you might like to see my little sunshine.... McKenzie...

Birthday Parties

My youngest daughter, Mikala, turned 11 today. We are celebrating in style here at the Baggett home. I have a house full of tweenies doing makeovers and eating me out of house and home... :) wow... how can my kids be growing up so quickly. It seems like Tawana and I were just bringing them home from the hospital yesterday.... now my hair is turning gray and I've been out of high school for 20 years. Crazy! Lots of great memories though.... I don't think that I would change a thing.

Pray that I survive the night.... :)

Man Work!!

Oh my aching back! Today we've been tearing out carpet and tile through the entire lobby at the church. Thank God for men with strong backs and secretaries that know how to use shovels. I used power tools today that I didn't even know existed! But there's nothing like getting with the LTG guys and doing something for God. I can't wait to see the finished product.... a brand new lobby geared toward coffee evangelism.....

Demonic Activity

Did that title catch your attention? This morning I was reading in the book of James and read in chapter 3 about 2 activities that are demonic in nature. I don't think we realize sometimes the things in our own lives that invite the enemy right through our front door. Verse 14 says that bitter envy and self-seeking hearts is earthly, sensual, demonic..... As I read that I began to think of the times when I knew that I was doing things and planning goals that were self-serving and the times when I envied the success of others around me. It's kinda scary to think that we can "ignorantly" expose ourselves to demonic activity and that really leads us back to the basics of a disciplined faith. We should never forget that the Bible tells to be careful because sin is always crouching just outside our doors.

Just a thought.....
