Celebration Sunday
organizations that promote "anything goes" services and that is the other side of what unbelievers see. Is it really a surprise that they question the validity of Christianity as a whole? I don't think so... because the real benchmark for a real move of God is changed hearts and changed lives. Not
whether or not you learned the latest worship dance... :) What I'm saying is that we need a true, fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit that is invited by God's people fasting and praying, as the Bible shows us. Revival is a sovereign move of God not simply a worship concert or a special speaker
brought in to get us excited... I don't know about you... but I'm looking for a move of God that radically changes people and in turn changes nations. Where God heals broken hearts and brings together families. Where people are healed from cancer and set free from addictions.... (I'd better stop:)
I hope to see you this weekend!

Tears for revival
Psalm 85:6 “Will you not revive us again, that we might rejoice in you?”
My heart is heavy and my spirit lifted all at the same time. Over the past several weeks as I began to look back over the year and ask the Lord to speak to my heart for direction in this new year he has broken my heart as I look at the spiritual state of our churches and even those in our own immediate family of believers and at the same time my heart leaps for joy at the wonders that he has revealed to us in just the last 2 months. Revival always comes when God’s people get sick and tired of living a life of duality. When we ,the church, become sick of the culture that surrounds us being unchanged by our existence but that we, the church, become increasingly more and more like the sinful culture around us. Revival comes when a remnant of believers follows the edicts that God has given us to bring revival to God’s people. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says it all. It is a simple roadmap to a move of God yet one that we so often ignore as leaders in our church. John Wesley said “God does nothing but in answer to prayer.” Matthew Henry once said about Zech. 12:10 “when God intends great mercy for His people, the first thing He does is set them a-praying.” (yes, I expect you to look up the scriptures that refer to) J
My friends, I am beyond excited about what this year holds for us but I also know this beyond a shadow of doubt. If we as leaders fail to join together in prayer and intercession then we can forget revival. So what will we do? I’m asking each of you to clear your agendas. Make room for time to seek the face of God and intercede for our church. We have seen a great move of God in recent months but that is not enough! We must have a true revival! I’m asking you to meet with me and pray…. Fervently! I know what God has shown me and He has given us the key to a firestorm of revival. We know what to do… How badly do we want it?
Our Church will get back to the basics and follow God with obedience, which God requires, and that obedience will release God’s covenant blessings for His people (Lev. 26 , Deut. 11 & 28 , Josh 1 , 1 Sam. 15:22)and the church will explode with the power of God and grow beyond our wildest dreams. The darkness that has infiltrated our churches and families and our cities will be broken! The basics are just what you already know; prayer (this will be our central theme for 2008), repentance, and worship (deep calls to deep…)
This shall be a year that we will never forget! I am blessed to walk with you and serve alongside you. We must be true leaders to pave the way for revival at LTG and our city. Let’s get with it!
