What a day.  I’m wiped out!  Its been a great weekend.  I spoke about the Presence of God tonight and had so much fun with the subject matter.  Now I’m home and gearing up for my Monday off.  I get to hang out with my Grandbaby tomorrow and that is always exciting!  Maybe we’ll play bubbles......... Hmmmm maybe not :)

Sunday am service

Wow!  What a service we had this morning.  I love it when God comes in and the Holy Spirit just takes over.  This morning in the 11am service that is exactly what happened.  Half way through the worship service the altars were opened and people flooded to the front.  Thank God for more than 1 pastor because  we’d still be there if it was just me trying to pray for everyone.  I think that what is fun about those moments is how different people react to the presence of God.  The look on their faces as they worship God.  The tears that stream down their faces and seeing people just lost in the moment.  I’m actually rather reserved myself (in my opinion) but my father always taught me that people react differently in those moments and that’s ok.  God wired all of us a bit differently and that is a good thing!  It’s called diversity.... It seems to me that if we all acted exactly the same way it would get really boring very quickly.  It’s like Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians that our strength is our Diversity and our Unity.  We all need each other and I think there is room for everyone to express their love for Christ within the biblical guidelines that are written in the Bible.  Regardless, this morning was awesome!  26 salvations and we lost count of the people in the altars for prayer.  Can’t complain about that!

The Power of Thought

What a great weekend at LTG! We have seen hundreds of people make decisions to become Christ followers and we are seeing God pour Himself out in our services. What an incredible honor it has been to watch the power of God work in people's lives. I was thinking this morning about the power of your thoughts. Who do you see yourself as? What is your self-image? Who are You? Do you see yourself as a Hero of Faith? Let me put it this way.... Do we really believe what the Bible says? We speak faith in God but do we take Him at His Word? “A healthy self-image is seeing yourself the way God sees you-no more no less” -Josh McDowell Your self-image is foundational in your journey of Faith. The right kind of thinking can produce the right kind of results! What we believe is a result of our thinking. If we think wrong, we will believe wrong….. If we believe wrong we will speak wrong. Re-program your mind with God thoughts. You are an overcomer, a champion, a force to be reckoned with! That’s why the bible tells us in Romans 12:2 to not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind Bottom Line... As Kenneth Hagin said, You have to Think right……Believe right……. Confess Right! Speak what the Word of God says and walk in Victory…. When we speak it becomes reality

“When you rule you mind, you rule your world” -Bill Provost
Remember: 2 Cor. 5:17 says “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things have passed away; behold all things are new”
My friends, you are a superhero! Just start living like one!

A Church with No Power!!??

Well... You really never know what to expect at Living To Go!  We had a crazy lightning storm in the Nashville area Saturday night which is not really unheard of but a lot people lost power for quite a while.  For time sake I’ll cut to the chase.  We come in Sunday morning to a building with no electricity.  Well... Partial electricity.  We lost one leg of our power to the building, meaning no lights, air conditioners, or sound system.  It was great!  I told everyone that I wanted to know who it was praying for an old fashioned revival service!  That they needed to be more specific... Like old-fashioned revival service WITH air-conditioning! :) I stepped onto the platform to preach and everything came on.... It was almost like it was supposed to happen that way.  It’s true that God always works things together for the good of those that believe.... We may have not had electricity but there was no lack of power.  We prayed for many and saw 10 give their hearts to Christ.  If it takes a downed transformer.... So be it!
