On tuesday Tawana and I left for Memphis for rhe funeral services for my uncle, Clovis Rogers. Our prayers are with my aunt Carleen and the rest of our family. The crazy thing was the weather. We are in the Germantown/Bartlett area and it was crazy! The damage around us was everywhere and the mall had collapsed walls and on and on... This whole deal made me think (scary huh?) we enjoyed 2 days of record breaking temps and it was great. It seemed like a reprieve from cold weather... So it seemed... But when the normal temps came back in they didn't really seem to like each other. Hot and cold bring really bad weather... Sometimes we long for those warm spring days spiritually without taking into account the season that we're in. Winter is supposed to be cold and a warm day usually means stormy weather ahead I suppose i'm just trying to say that we should do our best to live in the season we are in and look forward to warmer days.... But in God's time not ours.
Our prayers are with the Union University kids and those, in our own community touched by these storms...

As I was reading this post it made think about something in our lives as Christians. You said that hot and cold doesn't like each other. That is exactly what I have found in my life in when you start to mix the hot and cold you become lukewarm and we know what the Bible says about being lukewarm. When we become lukewarm in our lives that is when the storms begin to arise in our life much like the hot and cold that produces storms with our weather. Just a thought........
